Bioinformatics
Statistical and bioinformatics services are an essential component of both diagnostic and research methods. They comprise a set of tasks in data backup, management and access control, as well as in the analysis of genomic and cytometric data, and in the future also automated image analysis (so-called digital microscopy). The functioning of these services is a prerequisite for further development, for cooperation with external partners, for the ongoing centralised diagnostics within the Czech Republic, and for service diagnostics under international agreements. As part of VDOC, there is a team that is fully integrated into the internal Research Software Engineering team of Charles University.
